PVGRC Fast CAT 2024 Information

Update from Nick DeCesare:

VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION
The PVGRC Fast CAT on November 16 & 17 will now open on September 28th at 8:00 PM.
This change affects both the PVGRC tests and the PV Belgian Sheepdog Club FAST CAT events and was requested by the test secretary.

Please contact the PVGRC test chairman, Nick DeCesare at kiowagold@gmail.com with the following information:
Days you are entering your dog(s) and how many runs each day. We are critically short of club members to staff this event. I need this information to give to the test secretary so we can get all our club members in the test. PVGRC members run first thing in the morning so we can assist in conducting the tests.

Information About the Tests From From Nick DeCesare:

PVGRC 2024 Fast CAT will be held November 16 & 17.

This is a “heads-up” for all PVGRC Fast CAT competitors. Our tests open on September 26 at 8:00PM for online entries at the Sugarloaf Mountain Racing website, www.sugarloafmountainracing.com. This is also an invitation to all PVGRC members to come out and support our tests. Fast CAT events have become a major source of revenue for our club. The tests will be held November 16 & 17 at the Walkersville Volunteer Fire Department, about two miles northeast of Frederick, MD, off Md.Rt.194.

Our tests last year were the best and most rewarding of all the tests we have held going back to 2018. A large part of our success was the excellent support from our club members. And I would like to mention specifically the participation of PVGRC members who came out to work and didn’t even have a dog entered! I hope I can count on a similar response from our members again this year. As we have done for several years, club members run their dogs first in the morning, freeing them up to work at the test.

If you are entering the tests, please contact me at kiowagold@gmail.com and let me know when you have a confirmed entry and what days you’re are entering so I can share that information with the test secretary, because club members run first in the morning.

For those club members who would like to help at the tests, but don’t have a dog entered, we start at 8:30 and last year we finished around 1:30 ~ 2:00pm. If you would like to help either day, please contact me directly at kiowagold@gmail.com. The worker positions are simple and the tests run quickl
